It all started back in the early 1980's, when I met a family with a white-coated male Afghan Hound dog named Pierre that had been imported from United Kingdom.
I immediately feel in love with that breed and decided that if I ever had a dog it would be an Afghan.
In 1987 I purchased my first puppy, a male namded Toy that was a son of an Afghan Hound bitch from the famous Montecchio della Valdera Kennel but was not particularly talented in shows.
I began to partecipate more assiduously in shows and met with Renata Stacchini, the owner of The Montecchio della Val d'Era Kennel, who had decided to "retire" from dog Expos some years previously.
Renata became my teacher, always ready to provide tips on breading which, at that time, I was quite unfamiliar with, and a true friend. I still rememember the wonderful evenings spent in Tuscany with her and her two children, Andrea and Silvia, with whom I still have a deep friendship: they granted me permission to publish a picture of Renata as a proof of respect and affection.

I have owned other Afghan Hound dogs over the years: Hascisc (breeder Gian Luigi Gandini - Italy), Easy Lady del Settebello (Breeder Paolo Simeonei "del Settebello Kennel" - Italy) and Timour' Shah Dream Lover (Breeder Thimour's Shah Kennel - France).

Giulio Del Soldato, a trustworthy man and a true "lover" of Afghan Hounds, joyned me in my "venture" in 2000, sharing his passion with me.
